Feral Sheep

Feral sheep are found on the Big Island, however, the population is subject to crossbreeding with the mouflon sheep.  The very nature of sheep habitat, typically dry mountain slopes, valleys, and barren lava flows lends for long range shooting be it gun or bow.  On the big island, sheep can be found in the high altitude areas around saddle road, Mauna Kea, and Mauna Loa.  They prefer dry scrublands and lava flows and will not venture far into wet forests.  Hunting on a barren lava flow makes for an interesting and challenging experience.
